My Pride scarf is making itself known.

It's accumulating fans.

For details of its latest jaunt click here.

Scarf started off with me, then........

There has also been knitting.

Remember this?

'That' Blanket

Well. I became increasingly dissatisfied with it and put it on the back burner.

It's now been taken off the back burner and frogged.

This is its reincarnated self.

Well......kinda.

Maybe as a rebellion about turning 30 I've decided to 'play' with the yarn and see what I can come up with.

Also came up with these.

Neat, huh?

They seem to be co-operating with me and joining together nicely. Time will tell whether their good behaviour continues.

Honey Gold Scarf
Louise Harding: Fauve

Another Scarf

This time for my lovely colleague Sharon, who has brightened my day with her bubbly self on many occassions. Such sunshine cannot but beget a knitted something in return.

So, while I was in Lena's, just before dashing to the bus, I picked out colours that reminded me of Sharon.

Bright, energising and eye catching.

:D

They're lovely - purple, yellow and orange.......and still sitting on their lonesome waiting to be introduced to needles as a knitting project.

The yarn I picked up and took in order to bring my total up enough to pay by Laser won the jackpot.

It's a Louisa Harding yarn called Fauve.

The pattern I'm using is the drop stitch one by Ellen R. Marguilies from Debbie Stoller's Stitch'n'Bitch Nation .

It shows off the yarn well while also being an enjoyable knit.

Right.

That's me up-to-date with my projects.

I'm off to my leaba so that I'm all bouncy for my last day of my 29th year tomorrow.

I shall bounce on into The Wild Onion, show my passport, and ask Ruth, nicely, for my birthday cookie a day in advance. (They won't be open on my actual birthday).

Oh and Bettina, it may well be that you'll be finished your throws well before I am.

I seem to be swimming in squares with no hope yet of joining them up.

I shall duly keep you posted.

:)

Happy crafting folks.

P.s.

Copy Bettina and leave me comments!! :)

More knitterly progress

These pieces essentially give me a sense of accomplishment. Which is nice. Especially as I have a few ungainly pieces in progress where the end is so not in sight. We won't mention the lingering UFO's (& not of the alien variety).

Progress

Yea, verily, tis true.

There has been actual knitting.

Following by the actual completion of a project no less.

Egads and gadzooks.

Be this a passing state or a more lasting trait.

Time and more finished FO's shall tell.

Craftyrainbow Twitter Hacked

Hi folks,

For those of you who follow my Twitter profile, please be aware that due to an icky Trojan on my pc it has been hacked.

Please unfollow it.

I don't have the heart to see what's coming up on it at the moment, but I'm trusting that it's bad :( A friend of mine has let me know not to look. In deference to my stress levels, I'm going to defer to her advice.

So please. Ignore whatever comes up on what was my Twitter account and please unfollow.

Hackers.

Grrrrrr!!!!!!

Alphabet Soup March Issue

It's hot off the printing presses and the cyberspace is still tingling from its digital publication.

Your truly got to prattle away within it's pages too!! :D

Click here to have a gawk at my intro to Rainbow Stitch'n'Bitch.

As always, leave a coment and let me know whatcha think.

Sorry I've been away from my keyboard for so long. I've had a horrid chesty flu hot on the heels of two really deep, side-by-side fillings. Only just feeling back to my usual self in the last couple of days.

There had been crafting in the meantime, just not a lot of it and no pictures as of yet. That scenario shall be rectified however.

In the meantime....

Happy crafting folks!

P.S.

I was well enough to attend Sparkles in UL on Saturday. Head on over to my other blog Limerick Drag Kings to read about that.
